Knit One, Mystery Two
Please mark your calendars for June 12, 2010 as our annual fundraiser.  This year we will be featuring Maggie Sefton who is the author of the Knitting Mysteries Series books.  Ms Sefton’s newest book will be release just prior to our event.  The emphasis for this year will be on fiber arts.  Those arts include, but are not limited to, spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, crocheting, lace-making, dyeing and reclamation of used items.  

There will be a morning session and an afternoon session with Ms Sefton speaking in the afternoon session.  The registration fees for this event are:  morning session $20.00 and the afternoon session is $35.00.  If you wish to attend both sessions the cost is $50.00.  We do remind you that your tickets and packets with maps and such are to be picked up at the library that day.

Gingerbread Houses

The library will again be holding a day for you to come decorate a gingerbread house.  On Saturday, December 12 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm you may come decorate a gingerbread house.  Pre-registration is required and there is a $5.00 fee for each house.  I did this last year and had a ball.  It was fun to watch the kids decorate their houses.  It was also humbling to realize that they were more talented than me!
