January Family Night

Tonight is Family Fun Night at the library.  You can come and enjoy a craft and snacks with your children.  This month we will be learning about snowflakes.  My grandson and I come and always have a good time.  Family Fun Night is from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Library Groups

The after school library groups are now meeting again.  The Young Friends group will meet on January 26.  If you would like to sign up your child for one of our groups, it is not too late to call the library and register them.  Just call the library and let us know your child/children’s age and we can tell you what group they are eligible for and what time it meets.  Call the library at 286-5791.

Need a good book?

I just finished reading Sandra Brown’s new book Rainwater was so good I finished it in one day.  It is like nothing Sandra Brown has written before.  The story takes place during the year 1934 with all its challenges.  Ella Barron runs a boarding house and accepts a new renter David Rainwater.  This book follows their time together and how they each change and are made to make choices.  I really would recommend this book.

Some picks from our new book shelf are:  The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson, Population: 485 by Michael Perry, The Wikipedia Revolution by Andrew Lih, and Last Words by George Carlin with Tony Hendra
