Who We Are
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to support the educational mission of OTHS, aid students and their educators in achieving academic excellence, and develop each student's individual potential to become informed and useful citizens in their community. Through collaboration, the Instructional Media Center will provide access to information available in a wide variety of formats, develop students' appreciation of books and reading, support the use of technology, and provide curricular support. Since learning is a lifelong process, the information media center will strive to increase students' information literacy so that they will be prepared for the complexities of an ever-changing world.
PHILOSOPHY
Human dignity and the worth of each individual must be emphasized by a worthwhile educational program. Social, political, and historic contributions and thoughts of our predecessors must be taught to each generation of students. Furthermore, all students must be taught in a manner that reflects their individual needs so that they may adjust to and influence the changing society in which they live. Finally, academic and vocational needs must be met by any comprehensive educational institution. Media programs contribute to every level of the well-rounded school by supplying programs, functions, and resources to accomplish the purposes of that school.
