Required Summer Reading Program for Freshmen (Class of 2013)
This year, O'Fallon Township High School is requiring summer reading for all incoming freshmen (class of 2013). The following links include information for students and parents about the required Summer Reading Program, plus some other interesting information about reading. ***Please note: For students enrolled in Special Education courses titled Fundamental English, Reading/Writing Fundamentals, Basic English, or Reading/Writing Development, the program is optional for extra credit. Additional book choices are also available. Special Education students enrolled in all other classes are required to participate.

- ALA - Teen's Top Ten
- American Library Association's Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country. Nominations are posted in April during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year during Teen Read Week. Readers aged twelve to eighteen can vote at this site, online, anytime that week.
