Poetry IdolLocal poets Michael Joseph Garza and Jason L. Brock cordially invite you to share your gift and poke a little fun at pop culture.  Poetry Idol is a blend of slam poetry and American Idol. Contestants perform their poetry live or submit an online video and are judged based on content and performance. Judges are free to expound and score contestants on a ten point scale. In each of our three part series, two winners will emerge as idols and take home cash prizes.

 

Dates for the events are Tuesday, April 19th, Thursday, April 21, and Thursday, April 28th from 7-9 PM.  Events will be held in the Community Room at the Berwyn Public Library at 2701 S. Harlem Ave., Berwyn, IL 60402.
