"I do not believe that civilization will be wiped out in a war fought with the atomic bomb. Perhaps two-thirds of the people of the Earth might be killed, but enough men capable of thinking, and enough books, would be left to start again, and civilization could be restored."

—Albert Einstein (1875-1955) German-born American theoretical physicist, theories of relativity, philosopher

Teachers can request Youth Services Librarians to come into the classroom to do Book Talks on specific books or authors.

We give a short, gimmicky blurb about books in your selected topic without revealing the ending.  We can also book talk in conjunction with an upcoming unit of study.  Call the Youth Services desk to schedule your Book Talk!

need to get out of the weather?

The Berwyn Library is one of five designated warming/cooling centers within the City.

And we have so many events going on, and quiet places to read, or computers to use, it's a good place for anyone, one person or even the whole family, to spend a couple of hours avoiding the cold of winter or the heat of summer.
